Discover a different sound world on the guitar in this inspiring workshop with internationally acclaimed guitarist and composer Ozan Sarıtepe. Together with oud player, composer and arranger Göksel Yılmaz, whose musical roots lie in the Turkish and Arab traditions, he introduces participants to the melodies, rhythms, phrasing and ornamentation of Eastern music.
Through live demonstrations on the oud, Göksel reveals the original character and expression of the music, while Ozan shows how these musical ideas can be translated to the guitar.
An opportunity to step beyond familiar repertoire, experiment with new sounds and broaden your musical horizons.

Ozan Sarıtepe is a Turkish classical guitarist and composer, known for his colourful, expressive and passionate playing. As a recitalist, chamber musician and teacher, he has performed and given masterclasses at festivals, concert halls and conservatoires across Europe. Since 2017, he has also served as Artistic Co-Director of the Cyprus Guitar Festival. Find out more about Ozan Saritepe on his website.
Göksel Yılmaz is an oud player, composer and arranger whose musical roots lie in the Turkish and Arab traditions. Together with his ensemble, he has performed at festivals and concert halls in the Netherlands and abroad, including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
