New Horizons

New Horizons

a journey of musical discovery

Concert with students from the Royal Conservatorium Den Haag
10 October · 17:45 hr · Petrus & Paulus church

Following two successful collaborations with students from the Classical Guitar Department of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, this year we take the next step together. In New Horizons, young guitarists are given the freedom to shape their own programme and introduce the audience to the music that inspires them.

The concert features a varied selection of established guitar repertoire, including music by Roland Dyens and E. Granados, alongside a special new work. Costa Rican composer and guitarist José Mora-Jiménez is writing a new composition especially for this project and for the unique space of the Petrus & Paulus Church. The work will be premiered during New Horizons.

Familiar repertoire and new music come together in a concert that gives a new generation of guitarists the opportunity to share their own musical choices.
